Telugu actor Akhil Akkineni, the younger son of superstar Nagarjuna and actress Amala Akkineni, has officially tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Zainab Ravdjee. The wedding took place in a private, traditional ceremony at their Hyderabad residence in the early hours of June 6.

A Wedding Rooted in Tradition

Sources close to the couple revealed that the ceremony was held around 3 a.m., following Telugu wedding traditions. The event was kept intimate, with only close family members and friends in attendance.

The couple opted for coordinated white outfits for their special day. Akhil wore a white kurta and pancha, complemented by a traditional angavastram, while Zainab stunned in a white and gold silk saree, adorned with elegant diamond jewellery. Instead of a grand public celebration, the couple chose a warm and simple in-house affair surrounded by loved ones.

The pre-wedding festivities included a lively baraat on the evening of June 5, which saw the attendance of top Telugu cinema personalities. Among the guests were Megastar Chiranjeevi and his wife Surekha, Ram Charan and Upasana Kamineni, along with Sharwanand, cricketer Tilak Varma, director Prashanth Neel, and others from the film fraternity.

The wedding rituals were led by Akhil’s parents, Nagarjuna and Amala, who performed all the necessary pre-wedding customs. Naga Chaitanya, Nagarjuna’s elder son from his first marriage to Lakshmi Daggubati, also attended the ceremony with his wife, actress Sobhita Dhulipala, joining the celebration as one united family.

Akhil and Zainab got engaged in November 2024, with the actor publicly announcing their relationship on social media. Sharing engagement photos, Akhil wrote:
